Broken Column Frida Socks

A self-portrait painting by Frida Kahlo, completed in 1944. The painting depicts Kahlo bound in a cage-like body brace, with a broken column in place of her spine. The column appears to be collapsing, and Kahlo's face, breasts, arms, and torso are pierced by metal nails. One of Frida Kahlo's most infamous paintings.
